About
Where there is a will, there is a way
My career began in 1998 when i joined a Computer Institute as a lecturer. I was a shy and quiet kind of person who only talked when required. My father was surprised (but happy) when I told him about my new job, however my mother was very encouraging.
Things moved well and within 6 months I switched to a bigger institute with more than double salary and good perks. I was exposed to new technology. I was good at learning and had good communication skills so I started learning new technologies like Java, Oracle, PHP and many more and was teaching the same subjects at the same time.
Things suddenly changed when I heard my boss saying that only the people who don’t have capability to develop gets into teaching. The statement really made me think if this was true. At that time Computer market was at its peak and people were fond of learning computers. I was earning good amount of money by teaching 12-14 hours a day. It was difficult for me to leave the job and switch over to development for which I was not confident and mentally prepared.
Things went on and the time came when the computer market collapsed (that was somewhere in year 2000 (when Y2K issue was HOT). That give me time to rethink about my career. I created my first ever site using javascript and HTML. I tried my hand on designing too but programming gave me more satisfaction.
I moved to another state and got a job for a very low salary as Web Programmer. The things were not moving as smooth as were earlier. The company was not doing well. The company had only two employees. A Designer and me as a Programmer. I took this as an opportunity and started learning designing websites from the Designer. After 8 months company had nothing to pay me, so I had to return back to my home town.
I wanted a break and had to rethink what I should do to earn my living. I joined a call center in the mean time so I could earn a living and could think further about my capabilities and career. The Call Center job acted as a boon and it improved my English Accent. I was talking to customers in US and UK now. I realized that people liked listening to me. I was a good Marketing Person now.
Another Call Center hired me as a Technical Manager. This was the time when I was utilizing my “Technical Skills” to develop softwares for offshore companies and “Marketing Skills“ to coordinate with offshore clients and growing business.
But a desire to grow always wanted me to do something that should satisfy my inner self. I decided to quit the job and formed my own company in August 2006. the company formed is www.technointellects.com
